A carefree ability to renew his art

Remé's recent works show a carefree ability to renew his art and to radically experiment with expressiveness. His renowned skills of applying a delicate brush work in his paintings are gradually being replaced by a remarkably efficacious technique of quick smooth brushing . His ever-precise styling of figures and landscapes in his compositions is little by little being substituted by an evocative lyrical abstraction. His usual bright coloring is progressively being taken over by more dramatic, dreamlike color effects. In his recent works, Jörg Remé manages to evoke the sublime moments of the mind's liberation and those of the freedom of imagination.
